Manbazar Roy Kalipuja: More thane 200 hundreds year ago this worship had begin in Manbazar Roy (Kashyap) family.In earlier time the worship was done in a cottage made of muddy wall and hay shed instead of present time concrete decorated temple. There is a legend among the Manbazar Roy family Kalipuja. The traditional story is more than 150 years ago's. By the word of narator , once a miracle night had appeared during the time of Kalipuja mid night. At mid night ,suddenly all the residents of the near localities heard

the sound of band party with tone of flute, they thought a glorious procession is coming there with a worship preperation. They were all stayed in their home, attention was to the sound of the procession. Suddenly they realized procession was stopped in front of the Kali temple.

They came out from their home and meet together, discussed about it . The God's miracle journey inspired them to start worship with new way by the judgment of the priest on that time.

Kali worship is start at mid night of a new moon day every year and end after two to three hour later. The immolation time on behalf of Kali is after the end of mid night worship. 20-25 he goats are immolated here in present time every year. After the first immolation of he-goat provided by  jointly in Roy family, they start to prepare 'khichuri' ( meal offerings) at 100 yards away in another place. Before immolation , the Roy female members are took preparation for 'Annabhog' boiling water.When message reached reached for first immolation, they start to make offerings then and there, because they have to finished it before the message of last immolation. After last immolation this offerings come to the temple in front of God,worship and distributed there.

Stone made Kali icon

Manbazar Namopara Sarvajanin Kalipuja: The worship begins from 2012 on the north bank of Chandan shayer.First year only worship was done. In this year, there is made a temple of concrete structure and there installed 'shila stone' icon of Kali and Shib by the enthusiastic person Dr.Tapas Kumar Banerjee on that locality. The height of the stone images are average 5 ft 4 inches and weight more than two Qnt each.Image has been bought from Mantu Karmakar of Sushuniya in the district Bankura.Value is Rs.40,000/- excluding carrying cost.

Location: The temple is located in front of Swapan Subrata High School. Manbazar Deerpark road leads in the north side, in the east Roy family funeral place and in the south side Chandan Shayer.

Upper cast Brahmin specially Mukherjee,Banerjee,Chatterjee,Roy live within the habitation of Manbaazar Namopara.Most of them are educated with higher education they involved in different post of Government works. All the residents of Namopara collect mony among them and jointly performed the worship of Kali newly established. It is called Sarvojanin Kalipuja. 

Chandan Shyer

In this year 108 young girls taking muddy on head, making road procession with band party,carrying water from a pond established newly brought deity of Kali icon on the Kali temple. Start to Pray in new way from 2.11.2013 onward and Shib worship will continue throughout the year witnessing coming generation.

Manbazar Thana Sarvajanin Kalimela:  Thana Sarvajanin Kalipuja is performed collecting money from all residents from Manbazar. This temple is located east side attaching Manbazar Police Station, organized by the committee among them Anandamoy Sen, Dilip Chakraborty,Monaj Mukharjee, Samir Dutta,Bharat Dhabal Babu.

The worship was begin on time of Jiten Chatterjee when he was the O.C of Manbazar P.S more than 40 years ago.There was an incident before inception of this worship. On that time O.C Jiten Chatterjee had brought two stone pot (Kalas) from Budhpur Shib temple where scattered there.He liked and brought to his home.Next day his wife was engulfed with fire. Taking prompt care she had relieved from it. Facing this situation ,discussing with others he had begin to worship Kali

by the judgement of priests. For the purpose of worship land was donated by Sk Jainuddin (approximate 02 decimal) from his own share. On that time worship was organized by the body of Jiten Chatterjee,Ambujaksha Sen and Rajendranath Halder. At present concrete temple has been made in a new place near the road and the out side of the Manbazar P.S.  Temple has been shifted to the new place above 20 years ago.Now it manage by the local body collecting money from public. Main priest is Haranath Chakraborty and his maternal uncle (of Bangaa). Next day of immolation Khichuri is arranged for general public, and 10-12 thousand take this food every year.

Samshan Kali temple

 

Manbazar is the very old town in Manbhum anchal.Upper cast Brahmins are dominant here from the earlier time of the town among the inhabitants of scheduled cast and tribes.Their festivals,ceremonial functions and social cultures are the following rituals of their ancestors. They are following the rituals of their forefathers time to time maintaining sun and moon calender throughout the year.

Mondal,Mahato,Mahanty,Muslim all unitedly have made this town for their selves for a long time. Once who come here purposefully can not leave this place, make a settlement in this peaceful area.

Kalipuja: Maa Kali worship is actually family worship most of the Hindu families. Following this worship other rituals are share among the whole Hindu society as Diwaali, Bhatridwitiya, Jamai Bandna.In present time Sarvajanin Kali worship are being done in different places.
