MANBAZAR MAA
MANASA WORSHIP
Manbazar is old town in Manbhum Anchal. Different cast and
tribes of people live here from generation to generation. Maa Manasa worship is
one of the great festivals to the Scheduled Cast and tribe’s people every year.
Basically it is the worship of Dhibar/Jele and Rajak/Dhopa species. Both of
these casts reside here from the beginning of the town and most of the Manasa
worship places are 2-3 hundred years old. Rajakpara and Dhibarpara Manasa
worship places are very old in Manbazar social culture.
